PainterBorn : 1973, Bergamo (Italy)
Although young in years, Peruta is already well established in the international art world. Best known for his works exhibited with the theme “La Forza Della Femminilita” (The Power of Femininity), Peruta calls on his formal master painter education & work experience as a restorer and decorator to create an individual style that seems to effortlessly combine and convey strength & vulnerability. His works are a result of careful planning and faultless execution rather than improvisation.
Elisa Motta said of his work :
“Similar to a reflection, Peruta’s work appears to be almost rustic. The roughness of the substrate and the colours used evoke memories of ancient frescoes: large, ephemeral and sinuous. They speak of a world perhaps elusive, yet strong and constructive. Peruta’s figures are sweet yet not submissive, eminently present yet almost translucent."
"The artist captures, with great sensitivity and effective communication, the disruption of the collective consciousness of the West, passed in a moment from a sense of security to, powered by a climate of uncertainty & false comfort, a world that is threatening and unpredictable."
"The background, an assembled urban environment with a few precise lines and strong use of shadow & gradient; in the foreground, a woman's profile, transparent, disembodied but dotted with skill and attention to detail. Everything about her is graceful and lithe, the head tilts almost submissive, her eyes hidden, but the world is there in one piece in his mind, in that city that unfolds all-enveloping."
Between 2004 and 2006 Peruta moved to Nice (France) where he opened an atelier (workshop). His works are highly appreciated by the public and critics. He has enjoyed significant exposure and is well known across Europe, especially in Italy, France and Belgium.
