PainterBorn : 1955, Milan (Italy)
Carlo Sassi completed his formal artistic studies at the Academy of Venice in 1976. He worked abroad in many countries, especially in Germany, but always remained tied to his homeland. He has successfully held, and been shown in, many exhibitions all over the world and has been inserted into numerous collections of the most prestigious Italian and foreign collectors.
The paintings of Carlo Sassi do not need many words or explanation- they are as explicit and outspoken as the environment that surrounds us. The colours seem to flee from their start point, always suffused by wind and muted light, so that the landscape exudes a melancholic, poetic tone.
"The sensations of the Artist externalize themselves with soft colors on the canvas, with harmonic accents. One would not know how to distinguish the boundary between color, shape poetry." Armenia
"The beautiful painting of Sassi warms us, evoking fond memories of old things, like a fountain fairy tale, told with infinite imagination. The full-bodied work gives you the sense of standing in a landscape of endless imagination, where the transformation is far from the end of the story." Antonio De Luca
